Bethune-Height Recognition Program

Living the legacy of our leaders

STRENGTHENING THE FOUNDATION

The Bethune-Height Recognition Program (BHRP) is an annual fundraising event that recognizes outstanding community leadership and supports the work of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc.

The program was founded in 1974 and has grown into a great national movement. The annual program gives individuals the ability to live the legacy of NCNW’s Founder, Mrs. Mary McLeod Bethune and former President and Chair of the Board Dorothy Irene Height, by contributing to the work for which she dedicated her life.

The program recognizes individual NCNW members for their extraordinary work in volunteering for community service and their donation of a minimum of 300.00 per person to support the work of NCNW.
